Trailing 33-27 with 6:10 remaining in the first half, the Hawks were able to get rolling to close out the half with a 16-4 run to take a 44-37 lead into halftime.

Continuing their run from the first half, Chowan began the second half with a three pointer to lead by ten. From there, Joe Conley would single-handedly get NGU back into the game by scoring eleven of the next twelve points to tie the game at 48-48.
