NGU's Bryce Allen named to the All State/NABC Good Works Team

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and Allstate Insurance Company announced an all-time high 278 nominees for the 2017 Allstate NABC and WBCA Good Works Teams® on Wednesday morning.

Representing Conference Carolinas was Barton College forward Nick Ellison and North Greenville University forward Bryce Allen, who were among the 181 nominees for to the 2017 NABC Good Works Team.

A senior from Westminster, Md., Ellison receives the honor of being a NABC Good Works Team nominee for the second consecutive year. Allen, a sophomore from Clover, S.C., notches his first Good Works Team nomination.

The Allstate NABC and WBCA Good Works Teams® recognizes players at all levels of college basketball whose charitable involvement and altruistic acts stand out amongst all other student-athletes participating in the sport.

Two special voting panels will select 10-member teams from both the NABC and WBCA, comprised of five student-athletes from the NCAA Division I level and five student-athletes from Divisions II, III and the NAIA. The final roster of 20 award recipients will be unveiled in February.
