Mount Olive, N.C. - Justin Dotson knocked down 22-points and was 8 of 16 from the field as North Greenville fell to Mount Olive 91-83.
The Crusaders led for five-minute span in the first half but the Trojans worked their way back in front and took a 10-point lead with 4:42 left in the game. NGU would cut the lead to five on Matt Moore's three-pointer but the Trojans would knock down a jumper as the clock ran down to extend their advantage to seven-points at halftime.
The lead for Mount Olive would expand to 14-points with 12:40 left in the game. The Crusaders would hang in and chip away at the UMO lead, cutting it to just four points with just over five minutes left. Jai Jenks' jumper with 5:18 left in the contest would make the score 79-75 as NGU looked to pick up a road win in comeback fashion.
The Trojans would answer with a 6-0 run to re-gain a nine-point edge. NGU would once again challenge UMO as Korval McElroy would cut the lead to six points a couple minutes later with a lay-up, but the Trojans would seal the win with a 7-5 run.
The Crusaders shot 45.5 percent from the field as a team. McElroy finished with nine points, as did Troy Blyden. NGU is now 6-11 overall and 3-7 in league play with a game against Barton College scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at 4pm.
