Crusaders put together best shooting performance of the season in rout of Bob Jones

Tigerville, S.C. - North Greenville saw 12 players score at least four points while five scored in double-figures as the Crusaders blew out the Bob Jones Bruins 111-83.

Tuesday night was the first night the Crusaders eclipsed the century mark this season as the team cruised to its sixth win of the 2015-2016 slate. Miguel Reyes Cartagena and Justin Dotson led the way with 14-points while Tommy Wade knocked down 13. NGU's other two double-figure scores were Chris Brown and Daniel Burchette who had 12 and 10 points respectively.

Tuesday night's non-conference matchup was never in doubt as the Crusaders jumped out to a 32-17 lead with 7:23 left in the first half. North Greenville used a season high 62.5 percent shooting performance in the opening period. The Crusaders would top that performance in the second half as they shot 62.9 percent from the field.

NGU led by as many as 29-points, but the Bruins put together a small run in the second half to cut the lead to 80-60 with seven minutes left on the clock. North Greenville would answer with an 11-2 run which lasted about three minutes to re-open a 29-point edge.

A free throw form Matt Moore would give NGU its biggest lead of the game at 31, which was later matched by Kriston Beasley as NGU wrapped up the game and an impressive non-conference victory.

NGU finished the night shooting 62.7 percent from the field including a red hot 56.3 percent from three point range. The Crusaders shot 50 percent from long range in the first half and 58.3 percent in the second half. In total, North Greenville got 44-points from role players, Tuesday night led by Jones' 13.

The Crusaders improved to 6-10 on the season while BJU dropped to 10-8. North Greenville will revisit its conference foe Mount Olive on Saturday night in a 7:30 tipoff in Mount Olive, North Carolina.
