Swannanoa, NC – On the second night of a back-to-back, the North Greenville men’s basketball team suffered a 76-60 loss to non-conference foe Warren Wilson College.
The Owls carried a one-point lead into the half, but outscored the Crusaders 42-27 in the second half to earn the 16-point victory. As a team, North Greenville shot 42.9 percent from the floor, while Warren Wilson was able to hit 56.1 percent of their shots and gained a 29-28 advantage on the boards.
Junior Phillip Brown led the Crusaders with 16 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the floor with six rebounds, while freshman Thomas Horn was the only other member of the team in double digits with 12 points in 31 minutes of action.
North Greenville (14-11, 7-7 Conference Carolinas) will continued their run toward the postseason on Saturday, Feb. 22 when they host Erskine College at 4 p.m. in Hayes Gymnasium.
