Crusader Basketball Adds Combo Guard From Virginia
North Greenville University Men’s Basketball has added Micah Parker from Woodbridge Virginia. Parker comes to NGU from Louisburg College where he helped lead the Hurricanes to a 35-2 record, and a trip to the Junior College National Tournament in ’12-‘13.  Louisburg was ranked #1 in the final national poll. Parker was selected 1st team all-district, 2nd team all-region, and ranked 19th overall in 3-point percentage, making 46.3% of his attempts.

Coach Lister on Parker:  "We brought Micah out for a visit a few months ago and knew there were a number of other schools involved in recruiting him.  He is a great basketball player and an even better young man.  Another major quality that stuck out about Micah is that he has a very high GPA, and has his priorities in the correct place.   It has been great getting to know him and his Mom, Sandra.  Micah is a winner, and understands how to make everyone around him better.  We also know he is a great defender.  Coach Vanderslice’s teams at Louisburg are always great on the defensive end.   We are glad Micah has decided to make North Greenville his home."

Coach Vanderslice on Micah:  "I am going to greatly miss Micah at Louisburg college, and we’re thrilled about him attending North Greenville University.  My goal is to bring guys here that are talented, coachable, and have high character, and Micah epitomizes all three qualities.  It has been a joy coaching him, and I look forward to seeing big things out of him in a North Greenville jersey."

Parker will have two years of eligibility remaining after transferring from the junior college ranks. He is originally from Brooklyn, New York.  His parents are Sandra (Mom) and Paapa (Stepdad) Hagan.
