Tigerville, SC – Four Crusaders scored in double figures and North Greenville shot 58.8% from the floor en route to an 85-78 victory over Pfeiffer College on Saturday in Hayes Gymnasium.
The Crusaders led from start to finish, including a 15-point halftime lead.
North Greenville’s defense was the story on the night as it held a potent Pfeiffer offense to just 36.1% shooting from the floor, including just 25% from three-point range.
Sophomore Chris Dean scored a team-high 26 points to go along with 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. Paul Harrison dominated the paint all afternoon, finishing with 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor as well as seven rebounds and three blocks.
Zack Shields provided an offensive spark off of the bench with 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from beyond the arc and Jason Wray recorded 10 points, six rebounds and five assists in the game.
The Crusaders (9-6, 4-4 in conference) continue their four-game home stand on Tuesday, January 24 as they host non-conference opponent Fayetteville State at 7 p.m.
