CRUSADERS BREAK 100 POINT MARK IN OPENING GAME OF SEASON

Tigerville, S.C.—Three Crusaders scored in double figures including Chris Dean who lead NGU with 23 points leading North Greenville to a 102-74 season opening win over the Eagles of Toccoa Falls College.

Jonathan Bozymowski and Paul Harrison also scored in double with 14 and 19 points respectively. Harrison led the Crusaders with seven rebounds while shooting a stellar 66.6% (8-12) from the field.

Toccoa grabbed an early lead but NGU quickly leveled the score and took the lead with just over 17 minutes left in the first half. The Crusaders would build their advantage and never trail the remaining 37 minutes of the game.

The Crusaders led by as many as 21 points in the first period, and shot 45.8% from the field. NGU shot 41.5% from the field for the game.

North Greenville opened the second half going on an 18-12 run. NGU extended the lead to 30 points with 6 minutes left, it would be the Crusaders biggest lead of the game.
North Greenville hit the century mark with 1:27 on a jumper from Jamal Watson. NGU would add two more points before running the clock.

The Crusaders are now 1-0 on the season and will take on Brevard College on November 16 at home at 7pm. NGU will open Conference Carolinas play on November 29th on the road at Belmont Abbey.
