Tigerville, S.C. – The North Greenville men’s basketball team extended its winning streak to a season-high eight games with a 98-85 victory over Morris College on Tuesday night in Hayes Gymnasium.
“We didn’t look great defensively but Morris hit a lot of tough shots,” said head coach Chad Lister. “I thought we attacked the goal well and we have continued to improve our percentage form the free throw line.”
In a game that began with each team trading baskets, the Crusaders went on a 25-8 run midway through the first half to gain control and never trail again. North Greenville shot 55.6% from the field and hit 19 of 26 free throws in the game.
Paul Harrison led the team with 26 points on 10 of 11 shooting from the floor and pulled down eight rebounds. Kyler Booher was the second leading scorer as he tallied 16 points, while Jimmy Ellis hit four three-pointers en route to 14 points off of the bench. Jamaal Pryor also had a strong game off of the bench as he recorded nine points and eight rebounds, while Tim Franklin scored six points and dished out five assists.
