Crusaders improve winning streak to seven games

Madisonville, TN – The depth of the North Greenville men’s basketball team paid off as the Crusaders defeated Hiwassee College 87-78 on Saturday afternoon to extend its winning streak to seven straight games.

‘Hiwassee shot the lights out in the first half,” said head coach Chad Lister. “We settled down and made plays when we needed to. Hiwassee looked tired in the last 10 minutes and our depth was key.”

Paul Harrison was the leading scorer for the Crusaders as he finished the game with 20 points, his sixth 20-point performance this season. Kyler Booher followed close behind with a season-high 18 points, while Zack Shields was the high scorer off of the bench with 10 points.

The Crusaders (17-6) next game will be Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in Tigerville as North Greenville looks to avenge a one-point loss to Morris College suffered on Jan. 27 in Sumter, S.C.
