Franklin scores career high in Crusader victory

Montreat, N.C. – The North Greenville men’s basketball team defeated Montreat College 85-72 Monday night en route to its second win in a row and fourth win in the last five games.

The Crusaders were led by point guard Tim Franklin who erupted for a career-high 17 points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists in the game. Reserves Jimmy Ellis and Chris Dean scored 14 points each, a new career-high for the freshman Dean. Playing in his first game in over a week, Paul Harrison returned from a concussion to score 12 points and pull down six rebounds.

“Our depth paid off tonight with great contributions from the bench,” said head coach Chad Lister. “ Tim [Franklin] was a great floor leader tonight.”

The Crusaders (12-6) will look to win their third straight game as they host Warren Wilson College tomorrow night at 7 p.m. in Hayes Gymnasium.
