Tigerville, SC – After getting in a hole early, the North Greenville men’s team used an 18-5 run to turn things around and defeat Erskine College 73-58 on Saturday afternoon in Hayes Gymnasium.
“It was great to see our guys respond from an early 9-0 deficit and show a great deal of energy,” said head coach Chad Lister. “Erskine College is a well-coached team and you always have to be sharp to beat them.”
The Crusader defense held Erskine to just 38.7% shooting from the floor, while forcing 20 turnovers. The offense for North Greenville was sharp after a slow start and finished the game shooting 46.2% from the floor, including nine three-pointers in the game.
Jamaal Pryor, getting his third start in a row, led the offense as he tallied 15 points and eight rebounds. Reserve Jimmy Ellis continued to provide energy off of the bench as he connected on four shots from beyond the arc, while Luke Lattimer was the only other Crusader in double digits with 10 points.
