Crusaders unable to extend winning streak

Sumter, SC – After winning two games in a row, the North Greenville men’s basketball team dropped a heartbreaker to Morris College 66-65 on Thursday night.

“It was a discouraging loss on the road tonight,” said head coach Chad Lister. “Our focus and attention to detail was lacking.”

Chris Dean led the offense with 11 points in the game. Reserve Zack Shields was the second leading scorer with nine points, while Jason Wray finished with eight points off of the bench.

The Crusaders (10-6) will look to right the ship as they play host to Conference Carolinas member Erskine College. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. in Hayes Gymnasium.
