Tigerville, SC – After a taking a three-point lead into the half, a shaky second half by North Greenville helped Limestone defeat the Crusaders for the seventh straight time 75-64 on Tuesday night.
“We had a great opportunity to knock off the number one team in Conference Carolinas tonight,” siad head coach Chad Lister. “They did a great job of getting to the line late in the game and we didn’t answer.”
The Saints were able to get to the line often in the second half of play as they attempted 22 shots from the charity stripe, connecting on 15 shots.
Paul Harrison filled up the stat sheet as he finished the game with 17 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Kyler Booher was the second leading scorer for North Greenville as he scored 12 points on 6 of 8 shooting from the floor, while Luke Lattimer was the only other Crusader in double figures finishing with 10 points in the game.
The Crusaders (8-4) will have a chance to get back to their winning ways as they travel to Cleveland, GA on Thursday, Jan. 20 to take on Truett-McConnell College at 7 p.m.
