Young Harris, Ga. – The North Greenville men’s basketball team never trailed as the Crusaders defeated the Mountain Lions of Young Harris College 81-45 on Saturday afternoon.
"[Young Harris] Coach Herrmann has built this program from scratch. He will have this program a Divsion II contender in the near future," said head coach Chad Lister. "We just shot it well today."
The Crusaders shot 57.6% from the floor while the defense held the Mountain Lions to just 22% shooting in the game.
Paul Harrison continued his dominance, totaling 16 points and eight rebounds on 8-12 shooting in just 25 minutes of play. Kyler Booher was the only other Crusader in double digits as he finished the game with 10 points on 5-7 shooting from the floor. Reserve Jimmy Ellis once again gave the offense a spark off the bench as he hit three shots from long range to finish with nine points. North Greenville had 13 of its 16 players score in the game.
The Crusaders (8-3) will play host to Conference Carolinas opponent Limestone College on Tuesday, Jan. 18 in Hayes Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
