Tigerville, SC – The North Greenville men’s basketball team rebounded from a heartbreaking loss on Thursday to defeat Atlanta Christian College 95-54 on Saturday night.
“Our guys bounced back from a tough loss on Thursday,” said head coach Chad Lister. “Atlanta Christian is a good basketball team. We came out motivated and our execution was much improved.”
The Crusaders dominated on both sides of the ball as the team shot 48.6% in the game while limiting the Chargers to only 33.3% from the floor. North Greenville outrebounded Atlanta Christian 48-40 while also holding the edge in turnovers as they forced 15 Charger turnovers compared to only nine by the Crusaders.
Paul Harrison and Luke Lattimer each recorded 17 points in the contest to lead the Crusader offense. Harrison also pulled down nine rebounds which tied for the team lead with Kyler Booher who finished with three points and nine rebounds. Tyrell Platt filled up the stat sheet as he finished with six points, seven assists and three rebounds. Chris Dean and Jimmy Ellis led the reserves with nine points each while Jamaal Pryor and Drew Ridlen followed close behind with seven points apiece.
The Crusaders (2-2) will look to keep their momentum alive as the play host to Toccoa Falls College on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 6 p.m.
