Knoxville, Tenn. – After dropping their season opener last week to Furman, the North Greenville men’s basketball team got its first win of the season with a 97-36 victory over Johnson Bible College.
The Crusader defense was in top form, holding Johnson Bible to just 28 percent shooting from the floor and translating their defense to points on the offensive end.
Center Paul Harrison was the team’s leading scorer, finishing the game with 18 points, while senior Kyler Booher was close behind with 17 points on the night. Freshman Chris Dean chipped in 10 points off the bench.
“Tonight we had a great defensive effort,” said head coach Chad Lister. “We are anticipating a big crowd for the game against Lee-McRae on Thursday.”
The Crusaders will play host to Lees-McRae College, a member of Conference Carolinas, on Thursday night at 7 p.m. in Hayes Gymnasium.
