NORTH GREENVILLE MEN'S TEAM COMES UP SHORT TO LIMESTONE

Gaffney, S.C.—Three North Greenville players scored in double figures but the Crusaders were unable to pull out a road victory losing to Limestone College in a heartbreaker 80-76.

The Crusaders were led by Luke Lattimer who went 2 of 4 from the three point line and scored 16 points. Other players scoring in double figures were Jimmy Ellis who scored 15, and Zack Sheilds who scored 14 points.  Jimmy Ellis’ 15 points is a new career high breaking his previous high of 11 points (2.16.2010 at CSU).  For the game, NGU was 17 of 35 from the field for 49.8%. 36 of the Crusaders 76 points came from behind the three point line.

“This was a tough loss for our guys,” says head coach Chad Lister. “They never quit though and I am very proud of their effort.”
The Crusaders will take Thursday off before returning to the court Friday night for a home game against Hiwassee College at 7pm.
