Atlanta - Cory Evans scorched the North Greenville men with an opponent season high 36 points to lead Carver Bible College to an 88-72 win over the Crusaders in Atlanta Tuesday night.
NGU (10-5) led 44-40 at the half, and managed to hang on to a slim 54-53 lead with 14:13 left in the game.
However, the Crusaders went stone cold from the field at that point and Carver went on a 10-0 to extend its lead to 63-54 with 9:53 left. Carver out-scored North Greenville 20-2 in the next five minutes to put the game out of reach.
North Greenville was led by Paul Harrison who scored 20 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Jonathan Bozymowski added 15 points, Millan Rodrigo had 11 and Luke Lattimer had 10 for North Greenville.
The Crusaders were out-scored 48-28 in the second half.
Next up for Coach Chad Lister's team is a Saturday, Jan. 30 road game at Anderson University. Tipoff is slated for 4:00 p.m.
