Tigerville, S.C.— Sophomore Paul Harrison scored 21 points as North Greenville opens the 2009-2010 season with a 94-53 win over the Toccoa Falls Eagles on Monday Night.
Harrison went 8 of 23 from the field and 5 of 10 from the line to lead the team in scoring while collecting 5 rebounds. Senior forward Kyler Vitko also posted 14 points and a team leading 7 rebounds. As a team the Crusaders made 4 of 17 attempts from the arch while scoring 42 points in the paint. The Crusaders capitalized on 29 Toccoa Fall’s turnovers scoring 26 points. North Greenville’s bench players stepped up in the first game of the season scoring 38 points. Jamal Pryor and Tim Franklin lead all bench players in scoring with 8 points. The North Greenville men’s basketball team will continue a 6 game home stand Tuesday night with a 7:30pm tipoff against Anderson University.
