The North Greenville men’s basketball team saw its first action of the year in an exhibition game against Kennesaw State in Atlanta Thursday night, and the Crusaders were downed 90-40.
Coach Chad Lister got the first look at his young team and as he anticipated in pre-season projections, freshman Paul Harrison and junior Kyler Vitko, both of Alpharetta, GA, stood out for NGU, scoring 14 and 11 points respectively. The Crusaders shot only 31% from the floor while Kennesaw shot a scorching 60%.
The Crusaders will have another tune up against a tough Division I Winthrop team Friday, Nov. 14 at 7:00 p.m. in Rock Hill, SC. NGU opens the regular season Tuesday, Nov. 18 against Limestone College at 7:00 p.m. at Hayes Gymnasium.
