TIGERVILLE, SC--Nathan Wilson recorded a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds, while Austin Randel netted 29 points to lead North Greenville University over visiting Atlanta Christian College 82-69 Tuesday night in Hayes Gymnasium. North Greenville improves to 5-12 on the season, while Atlanta Christian falls to 11-14.
The Crusaders used a spirited first half to jump out to 45-33 lead at the break. Wilson hauled in 11 of his 14 rebounds in the first half. North Greenville out-shot the Chargers 54.3% to 36.8% in the first period of play. The Crusaders shot 52.3% for the game.
Randel shot 11 of 21 from the field, including five made 3-pointers to lead all scorers with 29 points. Kyler Vitko complemented Wilson's double-double with one of his own, scoring 15 points while grabbing 11 boards. Adam Griggs added ten points.
Tyler Mains dished out 12 assists for the Crusaders.
Joe Rawlings led the Chargers with 25 points on 9 of 19 shooting. Jamal Brunson and Kendrick Appling added 16 and 12 points respectively.
North Greenville will be back in action tomorrow night at home versus Lincoln Memorial University at 7:00 p.m.
