TIGERVILLE, SC--Andrew Freeman scored 26 points to lead Brevard College past North Greenville University 86-65 Saturday afternoon in Hayes Gymnasium. The Tornados improve to 3-15 on the season, while North Greenville falls to 4-12.
Freeman drained six 3-pointers on eight of 16 shooting for the day. As a team, Brevard shot 17 of 25 from behind the arc. Joseph Chilton added 17 points, while Jonathan Whitson recorded a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.
Austin Randel once again led the Crusaders in scoring with 14 points. Adam Griggs and Kyler Vitko added 13 and 12 points respectively. Tyler Mains chipped in ten points.
The Tornados out-shot North Greenville 51.9% to 40.7%.
Brevard led 36-31 at halftime.
North Greenville will be back in action Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in Hayes Gymnasium versus Atlanta Christian.
