Railsplitters squeak by Crusaders
Amonzo Gantt led NGU with 17 points and 11 rebounds

HARROGATE, TN- David Lopez drained a 3-pointer with twelve seconds remaining in the game to lift Lincoln Memorial University to a 66-65 victory over visiting North Greenville University Saturday night in NCAA Division II men's basketball action. The win drops NGU to 8-10 on the season, while LMU improves to 11-7.

Amonzo Gantt recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Crusaders. Jordan Richmond and Austin Randel each added 12 points.

Lopez led the Railsplitters with 16 points and seven rebounds. Artavius Mitchell and Kai Wells added 13 and ten points respectively for LMU.

The two teams were tied 37-37 at halftime. NGU led for a large majority of the second half, holding a nine-point lead with 5:32 remaining. However, LMU closed out the game on a 14-4 run, including Lopez's game-winning triple.

North Greenville will be back in action Tuesday night at Allen University. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
