Crusaders fall to Lincoln Memorial

TIGERVILLE, SC- Amonzo Gantt (Royston, GA) scored 24 points and PJ Schumacher (Wayensburg, PA) dropped in 17 points, but North Greenville could not quite catch Lincoln Memorial Monday night as the Railsplitters notched a 79-71 victory at Hayes Gymnasium. Lincoln Memorial was paced by Kenneth Fox who muscled in 21 points.

Three other Railsplitters scored in double-figures. Stevie Akridge and Kelvin Burnes each scored 14 points, while Johnny Martin chipped in 12 points. Jordan Richmond (Russellville, AR) scored 11 points for the Crusaders.

Gantt hit a three-pointer less than a minute into the game to give North Greenville their only lead of the game at 3-2. Several times throughout the game, the Crusaders mounted a comeback, but Lincoln Memorial was always able to find an answer to put a haught to the Crusader rally.

The loss drops North Greenville to 9-12 and breaks a four game winning streak. The Railsplitters improve to 6-14 on the season. North Greenville will be back in action Wednesday night at Wingate University. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
