Crusader basketball coaches and players lead youth camps

The North Greenville College Men's basketball program held youth basketball camps at several area churches for the third straight summer. This year's camps were held at four locations across the upstate. Camps were held at Easley Presbyterian Church, First Presbyterian Church of Anderson, Wellford Baptist Church, and Fourth Presbyterian Church of Greenville.

An average of 25-30 kids attended each session, learning the fundamentals of the game of basketball in a Christian atmosphere. Eighty percent of the half-day teaching camp is spent on fundamentals such as ball handling, defense, passing, and shooting. A Bible study and prayer time is also held each day. Head Coach Chad Lister, assistant coach Rob Warren, and a variety of Crusader basketball players lead the camp. Coach Lister says, "the camp is not only good for teaching the fundamentals of basketball, but also a great way to teach the love of Jesus Christ. Also, it is a great opportunity to showcase the quality of young men we have in our basketball program and to promote North Greenville College and Crusader basketball."
