Crusaders sign point guard from Florda
North Greenville College men's basketball coach Chad Lister announced the signing of Jose Davila to a National Letter of Intent today. Davila, a 6-1 point guard from Oviedo High School in Oviedo, Florida, averaged 10 points and four assists per game in leading his team to a 24-5 record this season and the Florida Class 6-A Region One Finals. "Not only is Jose is an intelligent player who has tremendous court vision, but he is also a fantastic student," said Lister, "We believe that he is exactly the type of student-athlete that we are looking for at North Greenville and are excited that Jose chose to join us in our journey to become one of the finest Division II programs in the country."

Davila, which played on the varsity squad for 3 years and started the last 2 seasons, was coached by Ed Kershner. He was very instrumental in helping the Lions win atleast 20 games all three seasons along with 2 conference titles.
