Crusader men's basketball signs Michigan guard.

TIGERVILLE North Greenville University mens basketball coach Chad Lister announced the signing of Austin Randel to a National Letter of Intent.

Randel, a 6-4 wing from Lake City, Michigan averaged 24 points and seven rebounds per game last season for McBain High School en route to leading the Ramblers to a 21-3 overall record and a district championship.

We are very excited about having Austin join our program, said Coach Lister. He is a great basketball talent from a very successful high school program, and will be a good addition to our program. We are thrilled to have him join us as we try to become one of the finest Division-II programs in the country.

Randel garnered all-state, all-region, all-conference, and all-area awards as both a junior and a senior. In addition to basketball, Randel is also a member of McBains track and field team, competing in the high jump and running the 400 meters.

Last season, North Greenville finished the year with a 13-17 overall record and lost in the finals of the NCAA Division-II Independent National Tournament.
