Tigerville – The post season nods for Chauncy Haney continued to roll in on Wednesday with a Second Team All-American nod from the Associated Press.
Haney adds the honor to honors which include First Team All-Conference and All-Region nod and another All-American honor from the Football Coaches Association which was also second team. Haney was also honored as the Gulf South Defensive Player of the Year.
Chauncy Haney saved his best season as Crusader for his last, nailing down career highs in several categories including sacks, tackles for a loss, total tackles, and solo stops. He registered 9.5 sacks, 16 stops for a loss, and 33-solo stops, all of which were also team highs. Each of these ranked Haney among the best in Division II football.
