North Greenville football vs. Limestone to be televised by WMYA

Tigerville, S.C. – North Greenville football will make its return to the silver screen this year, taking on Limestone College in a regionally televised football game scheduled for September 23rd in Tigerville.

It will mark the third meeting between the Crusaders and Saints, a series which NGU leads 2-0. Limestone is in just its fourth year of playing NCAA football. The Crusaders down the Saints 38-9 in 2014 in the first ever meeting. The second meeting didn’t come until 2016 when North Greenville cruised to a 37-0 shutout in Gaffney.

The game will be broadcast by WMYA MyTV 40 out of Asheville, North Carolina. Kickoff is still scheduled for 7 pm in Younts Stadium. North Greenville has played in six televised games over the last 10-seasons, racking up a 4-2 record in those games. The Crusaders upset the 10th ranked Lenoir-Rhyne Bears in 2015 while taking down Mars Hill last season.

North Greenville will open the season on Thursday, August 31st with a 7 pm kickoff against Tusculum.
