North Greenville football landed another signee for the 2016 class last week with the inking of dual threat quarterback Collin Sneed of Hillcrest High School.
In his career at Hillcrest, Sneed threw for 8121 passing yards and accounted for 99 touchdowns. One of the state’s top dual threat quarterbacks, Sneed rushed 94 times for 502 yards, averaging 5.3 yards per carry as a senior. He also rushed for 2 touchdowns. A three year starter for the Rams, Sneed lead his team to three consecutive playoff appearances and won one South Carolina State Championship in 2014 while compiling a 34-6 career record as a starter at Hillcrest. He was selected as the 2014 4A Offensive Player of the Year, a three time all-state selection, a three time all region selection, and was selected as the Greenville County Preseason Player of the Year prior to his senior campaign. Sneed is also sixth all time in the state of South Carolina in touchdowns and holds every passing record at Hillcrest High School.
Coach Pizzo on Collin: “Collin was an excellent high school quarterback in the Greenville county area. He is a tremendous competitor and leader and will hurt defenses with his arm and legs. He makes quick decisions and is accurate with the football. We are happy to add Collin to the North Greenville Football family.”
