Tigerville, S.C.-- The North Greenville Football Team returns home this weekend to take on the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears for the first game in Tigerville in the 2015 season.

The Crusaders will take on a Bear's team that has won 22 consecutive regular season games and 16 straight games on the road. Last weekend, LR took down the 23rd ranked West Chester Golden Rams 41-28. The Crusaders were tripped up in their first game of the season as Charleston Southern earned a 41-14. NGU trails 5-1 in the series against LR and have not beaten the Bears since the 2011 season. The Crusaders fell on the road last season as a second half comeback fell a few points short. The then ranked 6th LR Bears escaped with 32-21 win as NGU went scoreless in the first half.

North Greenville's offense picked up just 268 yards of offense last week, well under the season average from a season ago in which the Crusaders accumulated 420 yards per game. LR's offense was potent as usual, racking up over 400 yards of offense, a majority of it coming from the ground game. The Bears ran their way to 436 yards with just six through the air, throwing just two passes the entire game. A Bulk of NGU's offense came through the air as Hughes delivered 176-yards and a touchdown. Robbie Brown caught nine passes for 69 yards while Mason Sanders caught five for 73-yards and a touchdown.

NGU will look to get the ground game going this week as the offense ran for 139 yards last week, led by Simeon Byrd who had 54 on 12 carries and a TD.

NGU and LR is scheduled for a 7pm kickoff in Younts Stadium. This will be the second televised meeting between the two squads as the Crusaders earned a 35-27 win over the Bears during the 2011 season. The Crusaders have played in four televised games in the last 10 years, going 2-2 in those four contests. NGU's other win was a 27-7 triumph over Tusculum College, also in 2011. My-40 WMYA out of Asheville, North Carolina will carry the 7pm kickoff. The game will also be streamed on the North Greenville Sports Network. Live Statistics will also be provided.
