Jackson Named NCCAA Player of the Week
Greenville, SC – North Greenville’s Tristen Jackson has been named NCCAA Offensive Player of the Week for Week Four of the 2014 season.

Jackson received the award after his performance last Saturday in the Crusaders’ 41-31 victory over Brevard College. The freshman running back took advantage of his first career start, recording 22 carries for 184 yards and three touchdowns, while also totaling two receptions for 14 yards out of the backfield.

In four games thus far, Jackson is the team’s leading rusher with 250 yards on 36 carries with three touchdowns. The Jefferson, GA native has also caught three passes for 31 yards, totaling 281 all-purpose yards on the season.

The National Christian College Athletic Association, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit association, was incorporated to provide a Christian-based organization that functions uniquely as a national and international agency for the promotion of outreach and ministry, and for the maintenance, enhancement, and promotion of intercollegiate athletic competition with a Christian perspective.

The NCCAA is unique in its purpose, its constituency, and hopefully its outcome. It is not who wins the game on the athletic field that really counts, but rather who wins that all-important game being fought in the lives of our nation's young people. The NCCAA makes a difference in developing well balanced, visionary leaders of tomorrow.

The Crusaders will host the Saints of Limestone College on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. in Younts Stadium.
