Tigerville, S.C.—When head coach Jeff Farrington was hired to take over the North Greenville football program in February, his first concern (other than leading a group of 80 18-22 year olds) was to hire a coaching staff which not only fit his coaching philosophy, but the Christ centered mission of North Greenville University.
Farrington rounded out his coaching staff with high character coaches that will lead the Crusaders into the 2013 football season. One of the names however may sound familiar, especially to fans of the Furman University football program. Brian Bratton was hired by Farrington to lead a young NGU receiving corps, but before landing his first college coaching job, Bratton spent four years at Furman racking All American Honors while helping lead the Paladins to two Southern Conference Championships.
The Augusta Chronicle in Augusta, Georgia recently ran a piece on Bratton detailing his career from Furman all the way through his career in the Canadian Football League. The link to the story is provided below.
