Daktronics Awards Martino All-American Award
Wichita Falls, TX – North Greenville senior wide receiver Freddie Martino has been honored as a Daktronics Second Team All-American after a stellar 2013 campaign on the field.

The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable displays systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition. The team is voted on by the NCAA Division II members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA).

In 11 games, the North, SC native totaled an NCAA Division II record 146 reception for an average of 13. 3 receptions per game. Martino also set the school record for receiving yards in a season with 1, 680 and found the end zone 12 times.

Martino was a four-year starter for the Crusaders and cemented his place in the record books at North Greenville. Since the 2010 season, Martino played in 48 games, catching 296 passes for 3,766 yards and 26 touchdowns while also scoring 5 times on the ground.

Martino will participate in the College All Star Bowl on Feb. 14 in Greenville, SC.
