Former North Greenville quarterback Willy Korn will be known for many things as time moves on. Once the heralded high school quarterback, Korn went from a predicited Heisman winner for Clemson, to a safety during summer camp at Marshall University, before he landed at NGU in the summer of 2010.
NGU fans know the story, Korn came to campus that summer just wanting to play football, and football is what he played. In two years, Korn led the Crusaders to 20 wins and just 4 losses. More importantly, he quarterbacked the Crusaders to a NCCAA Victory Bowl Championship, and to NGU’s first ever NCAA playoff selection in 2011.
Willy Korn’s impact on NGU maybe immeasurable, but the young leader still has a long future ahead of him. What is he doing now you ask? What does he think of the 2012 Crusaders?
