Tigerville, S.C.—The North Greenville football program has officially released its 2012-2013 slate of games, which kicks off on September 1st in Albany, Georgia. The schedule includes three trips to Tennessee for the Crusaders, including a trip to FCS member Tennessee Tech.
The Crusaders will hit the road 3 weeks in a row to open the season, and kickoff 2012 against Albany State University, a rematch of the first round of the 2011 NCAA Division II Playoffs. The Crusaders put together perhaps its most complete game of the season in a 63-14 triumph over the Golden Rams.
Crusaders will see a first time opponent on week 2 when they travel to Cookeville, Tennessee to take on the Golden Eagles of Tennessee Tech. North Greenville will make a return trip to Tennessee in week 3 to open South Athlantic play with Tusculum College.
NGU will grapple with three more road trips following the September 22nd home opener with Mars Hill. The Crusaders will travel to Lenoir Rhyne on September 29th, Carson Newman on October 13th, and October 27th at Catawba.
The rest of the 2012 home slate includes Newberry on October 6th, Brevard on October 20th, and Wingate on November 3rd. NGU will wrap up the 2012 regular season at home on November 10th against Virginia University Lynchburg.
