Tigerville, SC —The North Greenville University football team, which will begin the first year of a four-year scheduling alliance with the NCAA Division II South Atlantic Conference, recently announced that two of their five home games will be televised on WMYA (MY 40), an ABC affiliate based out of Asheville, North Carolina.
The Crusaders will gear up for their two television appearances on Saturday, September 17th against Tusculum College, and Saturday, October 1 in a rematch with Lenoir Rhyne University. The Tusculum game will be the first home game of the 2011 season for NGU. Kickoff for both contests is set for 7:00 pm and pre-game TV coverage will begin at 6:30 pm.
“We are looking forward to showcasing our university and football team on television once again,” exclaimed NGU Director of Athletics Jan McDonald. “This is an exciting time for North Greenville athletics and it’s a privilege to share it with the upstate of South Carolina and others who may watch the game.”
The Crusaders open the 2011 football season on the road on Saturday, September 3rd against Newberry College at 6:00 p.m.
