Tigerville, SC –
North Greenville University will host the 2010 National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA) Victory Bowl football Saturday, Nov. 20 at Younts Stadium with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m. The host NGU Crusaders, who have won a school record seven consecutive games, are 8-3 overall and will play either Greenville College of Illinois (near St. Louis) or Campbellsville University (southwest of Lexington, KY). The opponent will be announced this weekend.
The 14th annual Victory Bowl is an invitational event that matches the top two ranked NCCAA teams in a final game to determine a champion. North Greenville won the title in 2006 with a 56-28 win over Malone College of Ohio in Tigerville. NGU also competed in the 2003 Victory Bowl, but lost 37-14 to Geneva College of Pennsylvania. Geneva has won the Victory Bowl a record five times, including a 29-28 victory over Greenville College last year.
Tickets for the Victory Bowl will be on sale through the North Greenville athletic department beginning next week. Call (864) 977-7150 for more information.
