FIFTH Quarter with Jordan Floro:
Starting this season, NGCRUSADERS.COM will interview a different football player each week. This week’s player is senior offensive lineman Jordan Floro. Check it out now!

Ngcrusaders: The season opener against Mars Hill is less than a week away. How has this years camp gone and what is your prediction for saturday's game?
Floro: This has by far been the best camp we have had as a team since I got here in 2007. Coach Chadwell and his staff have done a great job at bringing the right guys into the program to make us successful. I am confident that if we can play up to our potential, it will be a great day!

Ngcrusader: One of your true passions in life is Missions work. If you could choose one country in the world to be a missionary in which one would it be and why?
Floro: In high school, I got the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Antwerp, Belgium. Ever since then, I have had a desire to go back to Western Europe and serve for a more extended period of time. Who knows what God has in store?

Ngcrusaders: Last years football season obviously didnt turn out the way you and the other players would have wanted but the team still improved throughout the year. How has the offensive line improved during the offseason?
Floro: Last year was certainly a tough season to be apart of, however, I believe that by the end of the year, we were laying a foundation for this season. Everyone on the team is hungrier this season because of last season. As far as the offensive line, we gained a ton of valuable experience. We are returning four of five this year. Unfortunately, Jonah Duerling will no longer be able to play due to a back injury but we have had Ryan Thurn step up and we are all expecting him to have a great career at NGU playing Center. He is a hard worker and a great leader on the Offensive Line. He has a great amount of potential. I am also excited about the addition of Coach Jim Beverly who is coaching the Offensive Line this season. He is a guy who has played and coached at all levels of football, from high school to the NFL. He brings a great knowledge of the game to our Offensive Line along with a strong passion for the game as a whole. I am very excited and optimistic about this upcoming season, especially about what we'll be able to accomplish up front.

Ngcrusaders: As the ncaa Commercials go there are over 380,000 student athletes in the NCAA and most of them will go pro in something other than sports. What are your plans after graduation?
Floro: Well, just after graduation, I am marrying the beautiful Melissa Pankhurst in Jacksonville, Florida. We'll be living in Lynchburg, Virginia as I seek my Masters in Divinity at Liberty University. After seminary, I'm hoping to fulfill God's call to ministry through the avenue of church planting or sports evangelism.

Ngcrusaders: If there was one thing the 2010 Crusader Football team accomplished, what would you that to be and why?
Floro: I want to win the Victory Bowl. I have not been apart of any state championship teams in high school and I came in the year after North Greenville won it in 2006. It would be an awesome way to end my football career here at North Greenville. I am confident that we have both the talent and the coaching to achieve this goal. I am excited to see how much we accomplish this year!
