BERNARDI NAMED TO DAKTRONICS ALL-AMERICAN SECOND TEAM

TIGERVILLE, SC- North Greenville University defensive end Andre Bernardi was named to the Daktronics All-American football team today. The Daktronics All-American team has been selected by a vote of sports information directors from NCAA Division II football playing members.

The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing, and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition.
Bernardi finished the season with 54 total tackles, including 20.5 tackles for a loss and 13.5 sacks. He was the first NGU player to ever be recognized as an NCAA II All-American in 2006. He was named to the All-American second team after the 2008 season as well. Bernardi was recently named to the 2009 All-Independent first team announced last week.
He recently played in the East Coast Bowl All Star Game on November 28th and will participate in the Cactus Bowl on January 8, 2009 in Kingsville, Texas.
