THREE PLAYERS NAMED TO ALL-INDEPENDENT TEAMS

Tigerville, S.C. – Three North Greenville University football players have been named to the Division II All-Independent teams.
Defensive end Andre Bernardi was honored as a first team defensive selection for the second time in as many years.

Bernardi racked up 54 total tackles including 42 solo and 24 assists. He totaled 20.5 tackles for a loss and 13.5 sacks while forcing 3 fumbles.

Freshman return Isaiah Johnson and senior punter Justin Jones were both named to the second team specialists. Johnson returned 8 punts for 228 yards and 3 return touchdowns with a long of 79 yards. He also returned 15 kickoffs for 290 total yards with a 19.3 yard average with his longest being 39 yards.
Punter Justin Jones accounted for 66 punts for a total of 2520 yards and a 38.2 yard average and a long of 58. Jones downed 21 punts inside the 20 yard line and totaled 6 punts of 50+ yards.
