North Greenville University received two more Independents College Athletic Conference (ICAA) national awards this week when senior running back Rashad Cummings and freshman punter Ronnie Partridge were named the ICAA’s National Offensive Player and Special Teams players of the week.
Cummings, a native of Mount Dora, FL near Orlando, rushed for 156 yards and three touchdowns in NGU’s 45-21 victory over Edward Waters. He carried the ball 20 times and caught a screen pass he carried 46 yards for a touchdown. He had 202 all-purpose yards in the game.
Partridge, of Saluda, SC, punted seven times for 299 yards, averaging 42.7 yards per kick. His longest was a 48 yarder, but most importantly, he kept Edward Waters pinned in their end of the field most of the game.
