Lynchburg, VA – Liberty University piled up 440 total yards and Rashad Jennings scored two touchdowns and gained 100 yards on the ground as they defeated North Greenville (0-1) 49-10 before the second largest crowd in Williams Stadium history.
North Greenville committed three turnovers in the first half that led to three Liberty scores and the Flames took a 28-3 halftime lead. NGU’s only score was a Michael Sears field goal with 7:12 left in the first half. NGU’s only touchdown came on a 15 yard touchdown pass from Richard Harb to Marcus Middleton at 6:14 in the third period.
Senior Rashad Cummings led North Greenville with 74 yards rushing. Harb went 21-36 for 178 yards.
The Crusaders will open their home schedule next Saturday when they host Wingate (NC) at 7:00 p.m. at Younts Stadium.
