Crusaders total 727 yards in 65-7 victory at Faulkner

TIGERVILLE, SCNorth Greenville University exploded for 727 yards of total offense, while holding Faulkner to 112 yards in a 65-7 victory. The game marks the third time the Crusaders have broke 60 points this season. North Greenville improves to 4-6, while Faulkner falls to 0-8.

Rashad Cummings and Eric Moeller led the Crusader attack. Cummings rushed 32 times for 238 yards and two touchdowns, while receiving for another touchdown. His touchdown runs were 60 and 86 yards. Moeller completed 20 of 28 passes for 366 yards and five touchdowns.

Brandon Dobbins hauled in nine receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns of 13 and ten yards. Travis Talbert caught six passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns, including one 80 yard score.

Matt Moore, who played most of the game at cornerback, entered the game at running back late in the fourth quarter. Moore carried the ball five times, the last of which he broke for a 99-yard touchdown.

North Greenville’s other scores came from a safety after an intentional grounding call on Faulkner and an 8-yard touchdown pass from Kevin Bedwell to Byran Washington.

Defensively, Jarius Mack led the Crusaders with eight tackles, three of which were solo, and one tackle for a loss. Aaron Simmons and Jared Burdette each recorded seven tackles.

Faulkner’s lone touchdown came with thirty-seven seconds remaining in the first quarter as Trent Richmond scored from one-yard out.

North Greenville will return to action next Saturday at Younts Stadium as the Crusader host UNC-Pembroke. North Greenville will hold Senior Day and Military Appreciation Day next Saturday as well.
