Crusader football ranks high in NCAA stats

TIGERVILLE, SC--North Greenville University is ranked high in several statistical categories in the latest statistics released by the NCAA.

The Crusader offense rankes fifth in NCAA II in total offense with 582 yards, while the rushing attack is fourth with 367 yards.

NGU's defense finished week one ranked 35th in rushing defense, allowing UVA-Wise only 82 yards on the ground.

Curtis Dewberry's 262 return yards propelled the Crusaders to a #10 ranking in team kickoff returns with an average of 31.33 yards per return.

Individually, several Crusaders are ranked high. Matt Moore is tops in the nation for rushing yards per game (267 ypg), while he comes in second in all-purpose yards (308 yds.), second in scoring (30 points), seventh in rushing yards (267 yds.), and 30th in total offense (267 yds.).

Adrian Escalona is ranked seventh in field goals per game (2) and 17th in scoring (13 points).

Curtis Dewberry is fourth in all-purpose yards (262) and 15th in kickoff returns (32.8 ypr).

Travis Talbert ranks23rd in receptions per game (7), while Donovan Davis ranks 24th in tackles for a loss. Derrick Miller's interception lands him at #8 in interceptions.
