Bernardi named Consensus Draft Services Preseason All-American
DE Andre Bernardi

TIGERVILLE, SC--North Greenville University defensive end Andre Bernardi has been named a first-team preseason All-American by Consensus Draft Services, it was announced earlier this month.

Bernardi, a junior from Marietta, GA, led NCAA II in tackles for a loss in 2006 and was fourth in pass sacks. Bernardi was also a 2006 Daktronics first-team All-American as well as earning several other first and second-team All-American selections.

The honor marks Bernardi's third preseason All-American honor for the 2007 season. He was previously honored by Lindy's College Football Preview and Street and Smith's College Football Yearbook.

Bernardi joins Newberry's Heath Benedict as the only two South Carolina players listed on the CDS All-American team. The two will square off November 13 as the Indians visit Younts Stadium.
