North Greenville releases 2007 football schedule

TIGERVILLE, SCóNorth Greenville University Athletic Director Jan McDonald and head coach Mike Taylor have released the Crusadersí 2007 football schedule.

The 2007 campaign will feature four home games and six away games. North Greenville will face three NCAA Division I opponents, four Division II teams, and three schools from the NAIA ranks. The Crusaders will play five schools that were featured on last seasonís schedule.

The schedule will also feature a Thursday night showdown at Younts Stadium against Newberry College.

The 2006 Victory Bowl Champions look for continued success after last yearís record-breaking 10-2 season. NGU finished the season ranked #23 by Don Hansenís National Weekly Football Gazette.

North Greenville will open the season for the third consecutive year with UVA-Wise. The Cavaliers come to Younts Stadium on September 1, 2007 for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff.

One week later, the Crusaders travel to Fairmont, WV to play Fairmont St at 6:00 p.m.

Week three features the Thursday night game with Newberry College, head coach Mike Taylorís alma mater.

North Greenville travels to Kingsland, GA to play Edward Waters College on September 22, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. The game will be played at Camden County Stadium.

The Crusadersí take on in-state football rival Charleston Southern on September 29, 2007. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m.

North Greenville will then begin a four-game road swing as they travel to Clinton, SC to take on newly-Division I Presbyterian College at 2:00 p.m. on October 6, 2007.

The next week NGU will travel to Durham, NC to take on another Division I team North Carolina Central. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.

The Crusaders wrap up the road trip with an October 20, 2007 game at Chowan University at 1:00 p.m.

North Greenville takes a week off on October 27, 2007 before traveling to Montgomery, AL to take on Faulkner University at 1:30 p.m.

North Greenville celebrates Homecoming and Senior Day November 10, 2007 against UNC-Pembroke at 1:30 p.m.
