TIGERVILLE, SC- North Greenville University defensive end Andre Bernardi was named to the Daktronics All-American football team today. This is the 14th year the Daktronics All-American team has been selected by a vote of sports information directors from NCAA Division II football playing members. The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing, and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition.
Bernardi finished the season with 85 total tackles, including 28.5 tackles for a loss and 14.5 sacks. Bernardi is ranked #1 in NCAA Division II for tackles for a loss and #4 for pass sacks. He is the first NGU player to ever be recognized as an NCAA II All-American. Bernardi was the only Division II player from the state of South Carolina named to the first team.
