Crusaders rise in polls and NCAA stats

TIGERVILLE, SC- North Greenville University continues to ride the momentum of its best season since 1991. The Crusaders are ranked #1 in Don Hansen's NCCAA poll for the eighth consecutive week and 25th in Don Hansen's NCAA Division II poll for the second consecutive week.

The Crusaders' balanced offensive attack is the most prolific in all of Division II, ranking #1 in total offense with 471.9 yards per game and #2 in scoring offense with 39.2 points per game. North Greenville averages 243.2 yards per game rushing (#7) and 228.7 yards per game passing (#29). The Crusader defense is holding opponents to 99.1 yards per game rushing (#34).

Several Crusaders are ranked in individual statistical categories. DE Andre Bernardi is back on top in the Tackles for a Loss category. His 2.4 per game average is #1 in the nation. Bernardi is also ranked 7th in pass sacks (1.1 spg).

RB Matt Moore is ranked in the Top 35 in three categories following his 309-all purpose yards, 3-touchdown performance at Austin Peay last weekend. Moore is 21st in rushing (101.2) and 16th in all-purpose yards (149.2 ypg). Moore and RB Rashad Cummings are tied for 21st in scoring with 7.8 points per game. Cummings is also 27th in rushing (94.4 ppg).

In the passing game, QB Eric Moeller is ranked 11th in passing efficiency (155.9 rating) and 32nd in total offense (217.7 ypg). WR Travis Talbert is 30th in receiving yards per game (78.4 ypg).
